Uncharted Horizons : The Uncharted Waters Chronicles By Kyle Langan
"She Flipped Her Hair Over Her Right Shoulder And Smiled. She Reached Her Hands Behind Her Back To Unhinge The Clasp Of Her Bra, But As She Did, She Pulled Something Small And Silver Out From Underneath The Bra’s Band Instead. A Single Edge Razor Blade."
I know what you're thinking: if a book starts with a murder, how far it can go? How suspenseful and interesting could it be? This book proved me wrong. It's
so fascinating, you can't put it down after starting.
I'm already a big fan of Kyle Langan and have been following him on social media for a long time. I always appreciate his writing style; whether he's writing a novel or an Instagram post, there's both humor and relatability, which is so entertaining as a reader.
Uncharted Horizons picks up right where Uncharted Waters left off. Amelia has a new house and can't wait to invite Kingston, Claire, and Kurt over for their first reunion of summer. But Claire is stuck in an engagement with Rutledge because her mother wants her to marry him for financial reasons - and she isn't sure if she can grow to love him.
While the four main characters all have their own issues, there are lots of new unexpected twists and new exciting characters: Sebastian, Lulu, and Marshall.
Another murder hits the Hamptons hard and a huge investigation begins and you're left wondering who the murderer is. It's a classic mystery, kind of reminding me of the movie, "Knives Out." I kept asking myself who the killer could be. And the four characters' friendship could withstand the drama.
This was one of the most fast-paced and exciting murder mysteries I've read in a long time - and it was funny, so it keeps you engaged in the story.
I love that one-sitting read where you can just disappear into a new world and revel in a well-written story.
I highly recommend Uncharted Horizons!
