Inner Trek : A reluctant pilgrim in Himalayas is a beautiful memoir written by Mohan Ranga Rao sharing travel experience of his pilgrimage to Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar.

The author wasn't a very religious person but he promised to visit Mt. Kailash on his wife's suggestion if the problem he was facing from a land mafia got easily resolved. By Lord Shiva's blessing, the issue got resolved quickly and thus the right thing to do as promised was to visit Mt. Kailash.

This book is a beautiful travelogue capturing the emotions and thrill as well as all the minute details of the journey very beautifully and immaculately. The high quality pictures included with the text gives the reader a feeling of being in those beautiful places. Some of the photographs look so surreal that it takes a lot of effort on reader's part to take their eyes off of them and continue reading.

The engaging travel experiences filled with little twists and turns, giving a feeling of thrill and adventure is what makes this book worth reading. I really liked how the narration is free of pretense and whole account feels very genuine to read thus, touching reader's heart. I loved this book and would recommend it to readers who wanna experience the adventure without moving their feet.
