The plot revolves around three people Leah, Lester and Cassie. All these people are meeting in the Mackinac island. Leah is widow and reaching the island to relax herself for few months. Lester, co-passenger of Leah is unhappy in the marriage life and trying to coming out of it. Cassie is the person sent to write up and article about the lifestyle and the most adorable things of the island. Cassie is little worried as the island doesn't have any no singnal, no gprs and modern technologies. The plot reaches peak when they all meet. 

The lilac island is created with lots of interesting stuffs and is naturally beautifully place. It doesn't have mobile networks. This place in the book is specially meant for people to relax themselves from the emotional pain. It's a magical place for refreshing. 

The plot is beautifully developed. The way author describes the place itself very calming and soothing to heart. It really tempts me to search for such place in the world. The storyline is very impressive and gives motivation. It's all in our hand to relax, refresh and start a new life. It's short to read book. I enjoyed thoroughly. 

I recommend this book to people, who are trying to overcome any bad past. This book will definitely heal you. The plot is carried out smooth. The writing style is simple and elegant. In nutshell, it's a feel good book.
