Chameleon Girl is a psychological thriller debut novel written by Liz Ferro. The novel depicts the story of Nora who is an abuse victim who has faced a lot of things and abuse from her mom. And how she dealt with her trauma and tried to overcome it. 

With a less than idyllic childhood, Nora Horvath finds confidence and strength in the life that she has created for herself. Between her hobbies, her work, and her intimate circle of confidants, and her cat chaos there is nothing that Nora desires or wants from the outside world. Let alone a world that she wants to and has long forgotten. 

As a firefighter, Nora knows better than most that incidents happen. But after a terrifying rescue that jostles and frees the memories of her traumatic and abusive past. And Nora is forced to pursue the demons who beckon her back into the shadowy realm of this new trauma. And as she ascends into the inferno of her past, she begins to discover just how much heat she can handle.

The book is a great psychological thriller if you are a beginner in the psychological thriller genre. It's Liz Ferro's debut novel and a bewitching read. The book has a way of igniting a passion and intrigue in readers. This novel transcends as a champion of emotional intelligence, mental health, and a feminist narrative. The author describes both her present and her past childhood. About her life as a firefighter as well as her childhood abuse by her mother and her love for art and her friends who she lets in her life. And her cat. The plot twist is abrupt and ends too soon. But it makes the book a very interesting read.

If you want to read an enticing psychological thriller with a plot twist that will keep you hooked then this is the book for you. With a character like Nora who you will be rooting for. And it feels great and inspiring to see her growth and how she overcomes her trauma. And the book is a great beginner read for people who are interested in reading the psychological thriller genre.
