Happy Friday 😇

Rating: 9.7/10📚✔️

Vows of Gold and Laughter (The Immortal Beings) by Edith Pawlicki is a book of fantasy of a new kind with out of this world character sketch and a powerful yet creative storyline. A fictional journey is always a colourful journey but this time the colour is utterly vivid and lively.

An eternal court celebrates the betrothal of Jin, Goddess of Beauty, and Xiao, God of Pleasure, high in the Heavens. The Sun Emperor, however, collapses from a death curse as soon as the vows are made.
Jin is a useless goddess who was raised apart from the Sun Court following her mother's murder, but she is now the emperor's only hope. The solution for the curse is held in the Underworld, and despite the court's dismissal of Xiao as a hopeless drunkard, he swears to assist his fiancée in locating the lost key.

They employ a burglar who is more interested in kidnapping the groom than recovering the key, and they start their quest at the Great Warrior's famous grave - only to discover that he never died.
He is a ten-thousand-year-old master of everything except his own heart.

Their adventure leads them from the snowy peaks of the White Mountain to the lush banks of the Kuanbai River, through royal intrigue and gory conflicts, power struggles, and magical traps, to the palace of the Sea Dragon and the halls of the Moon Deer. Heaven, Earth, and the Underworld will always remember their victories - and their failures

I Love how the author dealt with the character of the celestial being with minute details towards their special power while discussing the storey. The pace was good and the cover was suitable to the title. The element of magic and supernatural being is what I missed during my earlier reading of fiction. This book fulfilled my quench of that thirst.

I recommend this book to everyone who loves a fictional character with supernatural magic and elements in it. A super escape from the boring reality in the weekend for you.

Thank you, Edith Pawlicki, for giving me the good opportunity to read this wonderful book of yours.📚✔️
