Sundered is an engaging and exciting YA fantasy series opener that follows a young princess and her perilous journey to find her mother and brother.

The continent of The Land of the Sun is split into two after the battle and defeat of Cerberus. The west or better known as Tir'Sunna is highly advanced with technology while the east named Elvarue flourishes with magical kingdom. Ten years ago when Princess Faelyn was eight, her mother and former Queen took her firstborn and the rightful crown Prince to her birthplace Elvarue. This act was condemned as a mystery that had her rattled ever since.

One fateful day, they received a cryptic letter that said the lives of both her mother and brother was in danger. Will she be able to undertake a journey where danger lurks at every corner and one wrong move would to lead to consequences spiralling out of control.

Weaving the story with fantasy, adventure, suspense as well as a hugely ambitious undertaken that has revamped the whole genre. Steeped in vibrant magical system and significant prophecy, this book deserves all the undivided attention. The world building was one of the many strongest aspects of the story line that really help construct the foundation of the narrative. It was really well-explored and expansive in way that encourages the readers to delve into the characters lives.

This skillfully written first book definitely piqued my interest to eagerly waiting for the second book. Sundered is the perfect book for all the fantasy enthusiasts out there. Besides the captivating adventure, you will have great time navigating through vast lands of vivid scenes and strong narration.
