Sinder is the second installment in the Diabhal series. This book has two parallel stories that would surprise you as the engrossing tale of powerful protagonists against the odds, only to discover the gifts that they contain within themselves.

Ainsley Robertson has a secret, no one knows about it except for the Fae. With an abusive and brute father she is not too eager to share it but as fate has other plans for her. She becomes the Matrarc leading her people to a new hopeful future. These parts of the story belong to 1924.

Ceit, after taking her rightful place as the Matrarc of the Society, she arrives at a conclusion that it's time to enact the plan of ending the society for the good. That would free her younger brother, Alan from having a future where he would be bound to a lifetime of regrets and despair. These parts from the year 1996.

Sinder is the fantastical and gripping sequel to Diabhal. We get two narratives, one from Ainsley and the other one from Ceit. This alternative point of views also took us back and forth in timeline and gave a charming spin to the current plot development. Alan had a few chapters as well which were intersting. Reading about Ainsley Robertson and the events of 1924 my favourite parts of the story. As the engaging storylines continues, the intergenerational interconnections will create a compelling and intriguing historic destinies. Prepare yourself to get pulled into a world of cult, secrets and revelations.

This beautiful well-written sequel is a definite recommendation from me. I would suggest reading the first book before does because it is a continuation.
