The ninth circle : Fire is a first book in a twelve-part series of an unforgettable and adrenaline -fuelled fantasy crafted alongside of Irish mythology and historic lore.
This follows three sisters Tala, Aiva and Hartley while mostly focusing on the first two. After a week of ignoring her younger sister's voicemail and encountering a succubus she tried contacting Hartley who runs the Morgenstern Investigations.
Living their lives apart, each one of them have different stuffs to deal with Tala is a demon hunter and Aiva, on the other hand wants nothing with magic or paranormal. When they learnt that Hartley is missing while looking for their father they forget their dispute and become resolute to find her safe and sound. Their search has just began in the criminal underground assemblage that is led by demons and their currency is souls.
A booming beginning to a great book series. This first part was way too exiting. When I read the blurb it said “supernatural meets Dante’s inferno” and that alone pretty much made me have high expectations for an engaging read. And I am glad to say that the author did not disappoint at all. The world- building was absolutely alluring while the characters were outstandingly well-written. I loved it. In addition to that, I also appreciated the glossary of creatures, which the author provided at the end, describing each creature to a T.
I would recommend this to the readers who get seriously obsessed to a book series. And adding to the advantage, these stories are like watching your favorite tv show episodes with action packed scenes and creatures that will make you see the world in a whole new way.
Thank you, C.A. Harland for giving me this opportunity to reading such a wonderful book of yours.
Looking forward to reading more from C.A. Harland
