Persist by Astrid Aurelius

Happy Tuesday 😇

Author: Astrid Aurelius

Rating: 9.8/10📚✔️

Persist by Astrid Aurelius is a true thriller with a taste of investigational aura. This kind of genre is truly rare these days. The plot of the book as described by the author is praiseworthy and stick you to the subject for a long time without getting bored a bit.

Sam was fired from the NSA just as she was making progress on a mysterious case involving the disappearance of four hikers. This unfortunate turn of events has a silver lining: a new job opportunity as a field agent with The Baxter Group, a well-known government contracting company, which would allow her to continue working on the case of the missing hikers. Being a field agent is her dream job—the job she’s spent years grooming herself for—but she must prove herself first in an extensive training environment.

On the other hand, Benjamin Baxter, the Director of Field Operations at The Baxter Group, worked as a field operative for nine years before being promoted to Director by his grandfather, John Baxter, the founder and CEO of The Baxter Group. Ben despises his new job and longs to return to the field. As Evangeline Grace Sampierre (Sam), the profile for a field operative trainee, comes across his desk, he baulks at her lack of experience but finds a way back into the field through her. Sam and Ben are the main two pillars of the story conversing throughout for fulfilling their purposes of life with the help of each other.

The story has a good pace and exciting turns. Also, the inquisitive mind of yours will always make you attentive just to know the unanswered questions.

To be honest, I love the book in a way different from other books. This book is the epitome of simplicity. This story will take you on the journey of mystery while teaching and discussing life and perspectives. The symbiotic correlation between the two characters from two different poles is something that took my attention. Different characters make the story colourful and lively.

I recommend this book to persons with a taste of practical and storyboarded thriller. This book will make you fall for it in a few hours of reading it. Overall a great read of the weekend.

Thank you, Astrid Aurelius,s for giving me the good opportunity to read this wonderful book of yours.📚✔️
