Echoes of a ghost is hauntingly beautiful and painfully aching collection of resonating poetry. The dark themes of pain, agony, suffering, conflicts and contrast to the light were deeply explored.
This poetry collection is the assimilation of inner exploits of thoughts and emotions, fighting the ever raging battle with inner demons. A man up against the struggles, challenges, tribulations and trials of the and fate while the emotional complexities seems to be grappling him with iron shackles of misery, desperation and distress. The poems brings us face to face with shadow spectectors who revived themselves in the glory of negativity and overwhelming overthinking.
Meticulously written and superbly crafted, the author of this book has definitely felt the darkness, looked into it and survive the ordeal. These writing are brimming with unmatchable emotions and each one peels off a layer of cloaking darkness and fear. Through these lines we see monsters lurking in the shadows as well as in plain sight, leeching themselves and feeding off fear, scare and despair. Their only need is inflicting fear. A means to an end.
Vulcan's words are filled with deep profound exploration of inner turmoils and conflicts. A dangerous invocation of fighting the demon or becoming one. These reflections are just mere pass to the unfolding of the main event. While reading this masterpiece, I was completely allured into a world where darkness and shadows are well understood and conveyed. They aren't alone in the ways others have portrayed rather they are fuelled and accompanied by our constant battle of frustrations, fixation and collapse.
"This ghost of me tried to your anguish, your tears, the panic seizing your heart, the sharp, relentless ache. Imagine your pain was a torment all its own, knowing it must be a thousand times worse for you, my love."
- From the poem titled "Ghost."
I'd highly recommend this book to the poetry lovers who don't shy away from dark, haunting poetry. The title of the book is aptly named considering the writings have explored themes that are generally ignored or sugarcoated. It is an unique and intriguing poetry book that I will re- read soon.
Looking reading to read more from you.
