A Rose from Concrete: The Home that Love Built is An emotional and beautiful memoir, A Rose from Concrete: The Home that Love Built by Rose Madison Jenkins is a collection of stories that are true and heartbreaking. At first, they tell of author's struggles and then of her never breaking will.

In this memoir, mother, veteran, sexual assault and abuse survivor recounts all the empty places she once called home. By taking shelter in the destructiveness of excess drinking and serial dating, she ran in and out of the revolving doors of homes, apartments and shelters she lived in during her childhood in Minnesota.
Within this book when Rose touch’s on her own pain point’s when sharing adversities and traumas she has overcome, she then offers tools for those who see themselves in her story and want to start healing through their own pain. These include mindful healing meditations, journaling and creative writing prompts, and virtual assistant tools that can help build better daily habits.

What I loved the most about this book was how inspirational it is! We read of author going through many hardships in life and overcoming them, this teaches us that life is full of ups and downs and that after night, there's day.  It teaches us to have faith and to not be discouraged by struggles.

It was such a motivational novel, therefore I recommend it to everyone who is in doubt or is facing bad times. Reading this book and going through the stories given will surely give you a ray of hope.
