The Black Unicorn by Heather E F Carter is a historical book with a plot based around 1790. The author recreates the history authentically and beautifully in a very genuine way. 

The story starts with a battle but soon gets a twist with the love of Ashby and Elina. 

Elina is a newly widowed young lady who fortunately lost her husband after 7 years of a difficult marriage. She has interest in what her country going on through. 

All she wants is a little peace and safety for her family. 

On the other side, The highwayman (the black unicorns) are not exactly as they seem. 

The story goes on with tons of suspense, thrill, cute romance, and exhilaration. 

One cannot doubt the classic feel of the novel and its intense emotion.

if you want to read this book then I would ask you to read it in the Fall season. Because you will just have the best time of your life reading it.

I'm sure you will love this book as much as I did.
