Flip's new friends is a brightly coloured picture book depicting the significance of compassion and friendship. A lovable and a read aloud kind of story that is simply perfect for bedtime.

The story follows a duckling called Flip. He has started a new school but the kids at this school are dreadfully mean towards him. Disheartened by their unfriendliness, Flip becomes sad. Then one day, Via enters. She is the new popular girl who has lots of friends. Soon after, they become friends, playing together and having sleepovers as well.

As Via's other friends become good pals with him, will the other bullies see that Flip is a good and funny kid who can crack jokes that can leave rolling on the floor laughing? Can he win them over and succeed by share will of good virtue?

This is a tale of friendship and kindness with simple, graceful and colourful illustrations by Binti Ali, you can absolutely be certain that you will be entertain by this off-the-charts adorable book. I admired the fact that the author extensively shines a light on how expensive and extraordinary the power friendship can be. Given the chance, everyone under a good influence of a good friend can thrive to become a better versions of themselves. Through the character of Via, the elements of compassion and kindness are introduced. At the end of the book, she shares questionnaire containing thought-provoking questions so children can think and experience the importance of kindness and dynamics of friendship in a lucid manner.

I would recommend this to 3+ age group and both boys and girls will enjoy reading this wonderfully presented book. Brown's incredible writing style will definitely gonna much appreciation from kids. Filled with life lessons, this well structured story can be read as a bedtime story to impart good morals.
