Annie And Khalil By Jeanette Opheim
is a literary work that makes earnest attempt to harness the lost wisdom that is respecting uniqueness in diversity and when the medium is in reference to children’s fiction, then nothing holds it from being called a must read
“It is the harmony of the diverse parts, their symmetry, their happy balance; in a word it is all that introduces order, all that gives unity, that permits us to see clearly and to comprehend at once both the ensemble and the details”. These lines are fairly reflective of the inherent intent of the author who has penned the literary work that is our centre of attention today. Delving further into the same the storyline is concerned with two characters Annie and Khalil who happen to be siblings and are spending quiet some time in explaining their relation to another friend who does not comprehend their relationship at first and the same captures the main essence of the book and its prevailing theme.📚
It must be noted that as stated previously that the lack of understanding that people have for they are used to see the usual things and with reference to the story it’s the dissimilarity between Annie and Khalil that has their friend a little confused. Another aspect of the same is that the author in just 27 pages paints the much needed family dynamism which is the need of today’s time in respecting multiracial aspects and the same is verily touched by the author and thereby making it a must read for everyone, especially for someone into child fiction📚
it's a compelling read with a touchy storyline and the intent behind the same deserves to be revered. This book is recommended to anyone who is willing to explore literature that soothes one’s heart and for someone who is into children’s fiction.📚
